Through its Manchester branch on the Piccadilly Trading Estate near the city centre. Blitz
Vision, has established excellent links with production companies in the area, building
the business into the successful northern arm of Blitz Vision.
In the last 20 years Blitz Vision has grown rapidly, through both acquisition and
successful trading, since its inception. It has encompassed synergistic businesses to
provide technical support in all areas of the media communications industry.
The 14 strong Manchester, team which works on a broad base of presentations for a variety
of international clients. These range from product launches for Reebok to huge
pharmaceutical presentations world-wide for Zeneca.
With a team of dedicated technicians and engineers, its equipment has been used at royal
visits, party political conferences Installations and store openings.
Blitz has been behind the scenes at both the Bafta film and television awards ceremonies;
at a British Airways conference Blitz provided equipment and technical management for the
camera relay and projection, and the project involved five months planing.
Even more spectacular was the 36-cube Video Wall, Virtual VCRs, Cameras and Projectors
which Blitz provided for the launch of the Vauxhall/Opel Astra in Marrakech earlier this
year.
The show, which lasted six weeks and was attended by 16,000 delegates, involved the most
complex technological design. The videowall moved across the stage, rapidly disappearing
into the wings_ a heavy task for an eight-tonne wall with five tonnes of counterbalancing
weight on either side to stabilise it. Sound, supplied by TP sound, was transmitted in 18
languages and the show also included backdrop slide projections on a 14m by 7m high
screen.

We work closely with Digital Projection which recently produced one of the worlds
newest high brightness video projectors. Barco, our other main projector supplier, often
uses Blitz for beta testing of equipment before it hits the market. These projectors
create images over 60 feet wide which means we are also able to service the arts and
entertainments industries and can mount architectural projection, we can project
sharp images on to walls half a mile away.
All the events, whether large or small, receive exactly the same care and attention, We
have the highest quality equipment and a number of video projectors costing more than
100,000 each in our Warehouse.
Future
So what does the future hold for Blitz? With an estimated turnover of 14.25m this year,
Blitz is clearly a dynamic and evolving business, which is gearing up for the challenges
of the 21st century. Its strength lies in the variety of services it can offer.
Our objectives
Blitz will continue to develop its future throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
The main objective for the immediate future is to develop organically.
European companies are improving their standards and certainly we will be working with
them very closely.
